Return / Replacement Policy

We have a lot of faith in our products and in the case of the growing kits we guarantee they will produce at least one successful crop provided the instructions / conditions be adhered too. By nature, mushrooms will not always behave as expected – although most will crop within the predicted time frame for that product. Each kit is different with different growing conditions being experienced so often it can just be a case of time, but just to be safe, please do contact us so we can check it out. The websites FAQ’s provide digital handy guides and common questions which can be used for self diagnosis.

Our Policies

We operate a variable time framed replacement policy as set out below (section one) depending on the product. Due to the perishable nature of the products we sell, unfortunately we are not able to accept returns on these items.


We guarantee each kit to produce at least one crop provided all instructions be followed correctly and the growing conditions adhered to. Upon a claim, proof of this has to be provided to us, via email in a timely manner as set out below in section one.


If the instructions have been followed and in the unlikely event the kits do not yield a crop within the relevant, specified time frame (set out in section one.) Provided we have also received the timely notification of the fault so we may confirm the fault / provided the opportunity to tweak and troubleshoot the product. If we are unable to trouble shoot, a replacement would be sent.

If a subsequent replacement does not crop as per the guarantee above then a full refund would be issued back to the original payment method.


Whilst we offer the service of timing delivery to suit Birthdays / Gift occasions etc, Merryhill Mushrooms are not liable for any delays with the fulfilment of orders by our delivery partners.

To make a claim regarding a faulty kit, please find your variety of kit below and follow the procedure outlined.

White and Chestnut Mushroom Kits - We should be notified of any issues with these varieties immediately after the 16-24 days predicted to crop time frame not be met. Please email us the order number, temperature of growing environment alongside a picture showing the top soil. Then we can assist, advise and replace should there be a compost issue.


Yellow, Pink and Grey Oyster Mushroom Kits - We should be notified of any issues with these varieties immediately after the 7-10 days predicted to crop time frame not be met. Please email us the order number, temperature of growing environment alongside a picture showing the growing holes. Then we can assist, advise and replace should there be a compost issue.


Shiitake Mushroom Kits - We should be notified of any issues with these varieties immediately after the 7-10 days predicted to crop time frame not be met. Please email us the order number, temperature of growing environment alongside a picture showing how you have setup the log. Then we can assist, advise and replace should there be a compost issue.


King Oyster -  We should be notified of any issues with these varieties immediately after the 7-10 days predicted to crop time frame not be met. Please email us the order number, temperature of growing environment alongside a picture showing how you have setup the log. Then we can assist, advise and replace should there be a compost issue.


Nameco Kits - We should be notified of any issues with these varieties immediately after the 2-3 weeks predicted to crop time frame not be met. Please email us the order number, temperature of growing environment alongside a picture showing how you have setup the log. Then we can assist, advise and replace should there be a compost issue.


Lion's Mane - We should be notified of any issues with these varieties immediately after the 2-3 weeks predicted to crop time frame not be met. Please email us the order number, temperature of growing environment alongside a picture showing how you have setup the log. Then we can assist, advise and replace should there be a compost issue.


If you are not satisfied with the products, or are having questions or issues regarding our products, you must get in touch as soon as possible please email us with a photo as set out above, depending on your kit variety so we may advise and do our best to get the kit working as intended.
